I noticed something interesting at my LGS yesterday. They had two P-10 C's in stock.
The FDE model serial # C568XXX had the 3:00 slot.
The black model serial # C571XXX did NOT have the slot.

They are not serialized necessarily in the exact order they're made.

Okay.
FWIW the one I bought in Sept is C336XXX.
The one I bought in Dec is C468XXX.

Anyone with a 3:00 slot gun want to share the first three or four characters of their serial number?

As soon as I get home I’ll snag a photo.

Just popped a new one apart at work and took pics to post but obviously have been beaten to the punch!

I forgot to bring my older version and make sure the slide interchanges.

Any truth to the "rumor" about cracked frames? I saw this mentioned on Youtube, but when i google it I can't really come up with anything. Supposedly It's where the pin goes through the frame and is hidden under the rails where the locking block is.

I guess I'll be able to find out when i install a HB Industries trigger  :)

IDK about that, but on my FDE gun I bought in December the front locking block has some damage. On the horizontal piece that connects the frame rails the left side looks like it has been hid hard. I had to get out my older P-10 to compare because I can't figure out how that could have got damaged at the factory.
Maybe I should pull it out and check for other damage.

Interesting, thanks for sharing.

Heres the video starting @8:33 he talks about the frame cracks.

Regarding the cracks, I’ve got 2500 rounds of 124 grain Speer lawman set aside for the new FDE model I have.

Will see if we can get cracks!

The frame cracks are underneath a metal part and from what I was told, a very thin piece of rather unimportant plastic. Still not a nice thing to find, but it's not a game change for me. The old striker system is still working great on my FDE P10C, no issues - I did that video about the whole rotating striker deal. It's a non starter for me.

Stupid follow up question. If I have an older version is there a way to “fix” the striker rotation issue with a new or updated part? I recently ordered an FDE version from lipseys  and if it shows up without the 3 o’clock notch and steel rod, is it worth sending back and searching for and updated model?

Sorry for the hijack!

Lol I was thinking the same thing.

I wonder what CZ's stance on this will be? I still need to send mine in for warranty work so I'll see what they say when I'm able to get around to it.
