So is there any in depth history of this pistol? Was it adopted by any military or police force? Do we know when the production ended? I believe it started in 1992, right?

There is plenty of history available. Google is your friend. I don't think the CZ 75 has ever been out of production.

According to Pazdera?s ?Legenda jm?nem CZ? book, the full auto version was developed in 1991 but did not see production until 1995 (-2000). Tested but not adopted by the ministry of the interior in 1992. A couple more production runs were made in 2002-2003 and lastly in 2007. The total production run was just under 2,400 pieces.

I should have been more specific, I meant the obscure fully auto machine pistol variant that has the B aesthetics with the slanted magazine grip and extended barrel.

Ah cool! I want one to fall into the hands of Ian from Forgotten Weapons along with the Glock 18c and the Beretta 93R!  8)

There are no transferable CZ 75A select fire pistols.  It is banned from typical civilian ownership under both the 1968 GCA and 1986 Hughes Amendment, so the only ones in the US would be dealer sample category firearms.  Those typically sell for FAR less than transferable guns, but based on its rarity I would assume a few grand would not be unreasonable even on the dealer market.  If you are an SOT or manufacturer, then let us know if you find one.  Would be interesting to know what they do go for.
