What kind of barrel is it sportier or light sportier  . Mine gets hot after 3 .4 shots groups open up after that first two shots are great. I can get under half an inch at 200 yards with the first two shots but after that the open up badly 68 grain boat tails

I really don't know what you would call it, but on a carbine it would be a rather light barrel.   The only two 527's I have are a 6.5 Grendel and a 22 Hornet, both having long slim barrels.   Mine and those on a carbine are not heavy target barrels, but more of a hunting/sporting type, generally intended for a shot possibly followed up by one maybe two fairly quick follow up shots, not for long strings of target shooting.     Since most of my shooting is strictly target work any more, I let it cool down a bit between shots.
