P07 gen 2. what year?

as some of you may have seen my WTB thread on a P07 slide. I was wondering what year the gen 2 came out. my frame says 14. the reason I ask is are there any differences in the two? sights and fit are my biggest questions. thanks in advance

Are you asking about comparing the Gen 2 with the Duty model? I can check my duty slide(2012) to see if it fits/functions on my buddy's gen 2. Pretty sure it will.

Dovetails are the same. Mine came with cheesy plastic Glock style sights. My buddy's has metal 3 dots. I'll try to check tomorrow.

I replaced the originals with some plastic tritium night sights that were on clearance at CZ-USA for $40. They've been fine for several years of carry, practice and HD use. I've had this gun longer than any pistol to date, it's a keeper.

I bought a old DUTY slide for my gen 2. Works just fine. I use the barrel and spring from my other slide (which has an RMR milled in) with no problem. I switch them back and forth on a regular basis.

Yes the trigger was redesigned for the gen 2 models and that's when the changeable back straps came on the scene. The finish on the gen 2 slide is far better than what was used on the DUTY models as well.

 Looks like LonCheney covered this already. I did try my slide on my buddy's 2016 07 and everything fit and dry cycled fine as expected.

thanks to all for the tips. I just bought a 2018 FDE P07 at my LGS today. the slide fits perfectly. I cycled some snap caps through it with no issue. just keeping the slide. selling off the rest
