Painful to look at...
« on: July 22, 2018, 06:33:32 PM »
If I am right, this appears to be a customized early short rail CZ 75 frame with an '07 Kadet Kit installed on it.  Ignoring the horible miss match of the finishes on the old and new, who would take the original slide off a short rail that is worth thousands, install a kadet kit, and then sell it as a complete gun without even including the original upper?  Its actually painful to look at and think about...both for the sake of the poor short rail upper that is now probably rotting somewhere without its frame, never to be reunited again, and the thousands of dollars the seller is throwing away (even with the silly asking price) by selling the gun with that Kadet upper vs. the correct upper.  Am I just being dramatic?

I have to wonder if this gun wasn't in very poor condition to begin with?? From the look of it they did some heavy refinishing on it and modded the trigger guard as well. Never seen an original short rail with a combat trigger guard like that.

Weird frame...Early CZ75 has rounded trigger guard. This is squared off trigger guard from later models

This one is going into my CZ oddities folder. Thank you for the pic.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

That is unfortunate but I'd love to know the back story.

It has been listed since beginning of April...personally don't think I'd entertain it even at $299!

It would be interesting to run the Serial Number by CZ and get some background on the Frame
Can't say I've ever seen one like it
Unusual shaped squared Trigger Guard
Not sure what these may mean but:
Trigger has what looks to have and (add-on) Over travel Screw
And heavy scratches in-front of the Safety and around the Hammer Lock Pin
Something quite odd about this one
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

Seems to me that the Kadet wouldn?t run very well on that frame since the stationary upper tabs don?t engage at all and the weight is supported by the Kadet slide (moving portion).  Sort of a wonder the Kadet mag fits in there, too. Given what was done to that trigger guard and some of those scratches you gotta wonder what got hacked in the magwell to fit the more modern mag. That seems a heck of a high price for something that?s been effectively stripped of its collectible value.
Alcohol, tobacco, and firearms should be the name of a convenience store, not a government agency.
