looking for holster
« on: June 26, 2018, 10:54:58 AM »
I have several aliengear holsters and I love them. Bad thing is they scratched the heck out of my fnx 45. So I'm looking for a holster for a cz Sp01 tactical. Any recommendations that won't scratche it up? Yes I know it's a tool but it can be a tool and look good

Boriqua makes things of beauty and they are functional as well.

You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful holsters and should be easier on your finish than Kydex!

Seconds on Boriqua leather!  Outstanding craftsmanship, prices, and was amazingly short delivery times for all mine.

If you want to stick with Kydex, http://www.kt-mech.com can make them with felt lining.  That's what I use with my Les Baer Premier II which has a gloss blue finish.  The felt is very gentle on it while the kydex holds it firmly.  I find the kydex rigidity a plus when it comes to a heavier pistol.

I have been recently enamored with kydex Bare Arms Holsters. They have a lot of images that can customize the face of the holster, or have them put a personal image. Best yet, the holsters fit well. I have two on the hip holsters that fit my P-01 and P-07 nicely, and an inside the waistband for the P-01.

For OWB I have a TT Gunleather High Ride Snap. For IWB I have a Sparks Versa Max 2. Neither of these will scratch either me or the gun. I have tried Kydex and prefer leather.

I'm looking for something along the lines of an aliengear, with the 2clips to spread out the weight

Hmmm, well an all leather holster wouldn?t scratch the finish, but would eventually get rub marks around the muzzle from drawing and re-holstering but it doesn?t sound like you want leather.
Sounds like you want a hybrid kydex/leather and IWB or I think someone mentioned all-kydex holsters that have felt or other material linings, that might work.
I really like Black Arch hybrid holsters and have several, they do make the Protos-M holster for your gun. Been carrying my PCR and P-07 in them for a couple years and they haven?t scratched them up that I?ve noticed.  But then again I never really noticed Aliengear holsters scratching up guns when I used them in the past. Regardless, the Black Arch holsters are lots better constructed using much better materials IMO. Very comfortable too.
